在遊戲玩法內容連續洩露近 10 天後，開發商 Rockstar Games 於 8 月 26 日正式發布宣告回應。
英國遊戲開發商 Rockstar Games 自 8 月 18 日起因《俠盜獵車手 VI》（GTA VI）的遊戲內容遭連續洩露而保持沉默。根據法國科技媒體 Numerama 及遊戲媒體 Journal du Geek 的報導，Rockstar 於 8 月 26 日，也就是在 Netflix 平臺展示 GTA VI 的前一天，終於發布官方宣告。宣告中表示，這些遊戲玩法內容的洩露對團隊而言「令人痛心」。工作室對此造成的等待向玩家致歉，並懇請玩家耐心等待到 11 月 19 日。
